I think this may be the series I’m most proud of so far.
A series of 3 illustrations for The Economist’s beautifully put-together quarterly “Intelligent Life”.
The story was about breaking news of the death of a loved-one and the fascinating story of how the way professionals deal with this most life-changing of moments has changed over the years.
The Art Director, Graham Black, and I decided that the illustration should deal as directly as possible with the moment itself, as experienced by both the giver & receiver of bad news. Graham is an amazing AD and pushed forward my idea of these 3 portraits. Thankfully, the editor went with it.
Art Direction: Graham Black.
